Thing #5: IM checked off!

OK, after much gnashing of teeth and pulling of hair (and that was just what Allana was doing when dealing with me), I decided Google was not the IM for me and switched to Yahoo. At Allana's suggestion. It worked! I used to IM with an AOL IM account at home. My brother is in Ohio and it was a faster way to correspond than emails. That's one of the benefits of using IM--faster feedback. I think I stopped when I got too busy to be at a computer so much and when I got a national long distance plan, so it was no longer the only way to communicate.

Hope to be back at it after long hiatus

Well, I'm here blogging again. I got kind of wrapped up being sick, work, being short staffed, the holidays, etc. There's just never enough time, is there? And how did I carve out time right now? Shhh, don't tell anyone that I have. I have no idea how, but I don't want to jinx it!

First post for everyone to see

Well, after reading all the posts that seemed to go through so effortlessly, I hope all this can be accessed and read by everyone. I'm a little behind on joining the party--it was a little busy and hectic last week. I'm trying to catch up now or I'll never keep up and finish!

Do you all find that it's difficult to find time for the proactive and learning events at work, and that you are often just catching up and putting out fires? I'm really trying hard to set aside time to make this Nebraska Learning 2.0 a priority. It will be for a greater good in the long run!

I'm starting this blog to test it out for the first time. Woo-hoo, I'm in the fast lane now!
